Building Porsche‘s first AI Saas Tool
Overview
Sounce was the first AI software at Porsche that went into
production. It serves the engineers by automating noise
and vibration test for mechanical components.
Role
I was the product design and user research lead at Sounce by Porsche. I designed the product from scratch to the first million in revenue.
Sounce was the first big application were
I designed everything from scratch.
I worked with the product manager
on initial user journeys and wireframes
to visualise workflows.
I learnt so much about artificial intelligence, it’s possibilities and it’s limitations while working on this project.
It was awesome to be on the journey from a wireframe to making the first million euro in revenue with the team!
After the project was completed,
I developed the AI Incubation Canvas.
It’s a framework for mapping AI product ideas to educate people about the topic
and enable them to iterate quicker.
Noise can tell us a lot about quality, but it's often hard to analyse, and can lead to expensive problems when issues are
spotted late or not at all.
I conducted several remote user tests to better understand the engineers need as well as to show them the current state of the prototype and let them work with it.
Sounce makes inspections quicker and cheaper. The web app automatically monitors stations to catch problems early
Due to a co-creation with the future users we could move with confidence and started building the product in an iterative way.
We were able to automate the process and generalise the software in a way that other companies can use it as well.
